I am Pankaj Kumar Chaturvedi, a PhD scholar in the Department of Organic Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore.

Born in 1997 in Deosar, a town in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, I completed my schooling there before pursuing my higher education. I earned my BSc (Hons.) in Chemistry from Hindu College, University of Delhi, followed by an MSc in Organic Chemistry from Banaras Hindu University. Upon completing my post-graduation, I embarked on my doctoral journey as a PhD scholar (JRF) in the Department of Organic Chemistry at IISc Bangalore, under the esteemed guidance of Prof. Uday Maitra. I am also privileged to have been awarded the Prime Minister's Research Fellowship for my doctoral studies.

  • Organic synthesis & carbohydrate synthesis

  • Enzymatic carbohydrate chemistry

  • Photoluminescent soft hybrid materials

  • Bile salt-derived lanthanide-based hydrogels

  • Paper-based sensors for biomolecules
