About
I, Pankaj Kumar Chaturvedi, began my journey in Amo, a small village in Deosar, Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, where I completed my schooling. For my undergraduate studies, I moved to Delhi to pursue a BSc (Hons.) in Chemistry from Hindu College, University of Delhi. I appeared for several MSc (Chemistry) entrance exams, including IIT-JAM (IIT Hyderabad), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), and University of Delhi (DU), securing commendable ranks. Joining BHU, also known as the "Capital of Knowledge," had always been a dream of mine, so I chose BHU over the other options.
The two years I spent at BHU expanded my horizons, both academically and personally, in the field of Chemistry. During this time, I qualified for the CSIR-JRF (December 2017, AIR 52) and GATE (2019, AIR 81). I also succeeded in PhD interviews at prestigious institutes such as IIT Kanpur, JNCASR, and IISc Bangalore. In August 2019, I joined the Department of Organic Chemistry at IISc Bangalore to pursue my PhD (JRF) under the supervision of Prof. Uday Maitra. I was later awarded with the Prime Minister's Research Fellowship (PMRF).
